NamUs could crack many missing persons cases if used
Writtten by Janet
There’s a new online database that looks very promising in cracking some of the nation’s 100,000 missing persons cases and provide answers to desperate families, but only a fraction of law enforcement agencies are using it. The clearinghouse, dubbed NamUs – (Name Us) offers a quick way to check whether a missing loved one might be among the 40,000 sets of unidentified remains that languish at any given time with medical examiners across the country. NamUs is free, yet many law enforcement agencies still aren’t aware of it, and others aren’t convinced they should use their limited staff resources to participate.

Today, prosecutors turned over 650 new pages of evidence, including transcripts from interviews and photos to Casey Anthony’s defense team. This new information is part of more than 13,000 pages of evidence released to the Anthony defense team since the state’s murder case began.
Among the evidence is from a December 2009 interview with the head of Texas EquuSearch Tim Miller. Miller says that no one from his organization searched the area where Caylee’s remains were found because the area had been under water for some time.

By now everyone has heard about the Health Care Summit taking place Thursday in which, members of Congress have been invited to meet with President Obama for 6 hours to discuss his “proposal” for health care, which is little more than the Senate passed version of the Health care bill with some of the sweetheart deals removed.
One could say that maybe the President is really trying to reach out to those with objections to portions of the Democrats massive proposal to overhaul health care system, and that is possible. However, not likely.
For over a year President Obama, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Leader Harry Reid have shut Republicans out of the bill’s process. They’ve shut down all ammendments produced by Republicans, and even locked the doors to committee chambers to keep Republican Senators out of the negotiation process.
In the meantime, these same leaders have bargained, bullied, and even set out to sabatoge re-election of Democrats who opposed portions of the bill. President Obama has come out and as much as told the American people they’re too stupid to understand the bill, and he will try and educate us on what it’s about. Read the rest of this entry »

Prosecutors are trying to link the duct tape as the possible murder weapon Casey used to kill little Caylee. Authorities are clearly taking a close look at duct tape in this case based on details released Tuesday and in the past. In December of 2009, Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton described how prosecutors think Caylee died, with duct tape over her nose and mouth.
It was his suggestion that a three year old could have removed the tape, unless she was either drugged or physically restrained. In order for this to be true, her killer would have had to restrain her arms by some means, applying tape while she was conscious.
