Obama Administration Considers Supporting His Stimulus Patriotism!

Written by RickL

It seems to make no matter that, just like with the TARP bill, the majority of the public doesn’t support it, the Obama Administration is still pushing it as an emergency that will result in catastrophe if not passed.

And pass it just might now that two Republican Senators,Susan Collins of Maine and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania, and possibly Olympia J. Snowe of Maine, have stepped up to support it. In a phone call to all three from Obama, they were “thank them for their patriotism in helping advance the bill at a critical time”. ( Hotair.com ).

These kind of politics are getting tiresome. We seen the House Democrats pull the same trick over the TARP bill. It had to be passed right NOW or else we’d face financial disaster. Now Obama out there screaming the sky is going to fall if we don’t pass it today.

Continued below…….

This bill includes a lot of things that have nothing to do with stimulus, and much that was removed may be put back in. 1 Billion dollars for Community Action Centers, which includes ACORN who should have been disqualified from any federal funding when they took a position to support a candidate during the election.

Money for STD education, health care that will mean long term spending, and on and on.

It’s time the voters step up to the plate. Contact your elected Senators and make it clear to them that if they vote for this, as is, this will be their last term in office.

It’s time to put an end to these scare tactics politicians use to get your support for things they know you won’t like once they’re passed. The lies, the manipulation, and more than anything, the tendency to ignore the voter. Calling supporting the bill patriotism is just another ploy. It’s meant to imply you’re not a patriot if you don’t support it.

When the TARP bill was passed we were told by the House Democratic Leadership that they were re-working the bill to add protections. They pushed the bill through and it turned out there was no protections.

We were told it included $300 million towards helping families facing foreclosure. It hasn’t happened.

And after all their posturing, despite an overwhelming amount of emails and calls telling them we didn’t want it, they voted for it anyways. They used the “public has a short memory” trick. Those up for immediate re-election were allowed to not vote for the bill so they still got re-elected.

The voters have the power and it’s time to use it.
