“I was not briefed!” claims House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi. Wait a minute, I was briefed but “I was incorrectly briefed on the briefing!. Ummmmm, but forget about me and my staff claiming a number of times how we did what little we could to register objections about the very thing I wasn’t briefed on but then was incorrectly briefed on that briefing.

Isn’t this what they call a shell game? Move the shells around and see if you can choose the one with the prize?

Pelosi needs to come clean for once. She was the spearhead behind the “Bush lied” campaign, a successful campaign that was based on lies. Her claims of there never being any WMD’s and Bush lieing about them are betrayed by documentation with the IAEA and the UN. Her claims that there was never a connection between Hussein and Al Qaeda were betrayed by an announcement by Former Russian President Ladimar Putin, one of the biggest objectors to the Iraqi war, when he came out and admitted that he had provided intelligence to President Bush that Hussein had been negotiating with Al Qaeda to fund setting off dirty bombs in the U.S..

The Huffington Post, a far left liberal blog, claims “Pelosi has been the target of a campaign orchestrated in recent days by the House Republican leadership, which is eager to undercut her statements as well as stick Democrats with partial responsibility for the use of waterboarding”. ( Huffington Post).

Of course she’s a target. She has lied about this for a while. She’s been out there in front of the cameras putting it all on Bush and Cheney, raising a fuss about it and using it for political gain.

If the Democrats knew about it and did not act to prevent it, they are partially responsible and should stand up and take the heat, they’ve created, along with the Republicans.

However, the question is, did they know, and when?

According to a CIA memo, they were briefed. Other Members of the House Intelligence Committee, which is the committee that was briefed and Pelosi was a member of, claim Pelosi was present. Wouldn’t the members of the House Intelligence Committee need to be present during such an important briefing? This briefing allegedly took place in 2002. Long before Pelosi and other Democrats started their campaign to brand Bush and Cheney as war criminals due to the torture.
