Thuggery Instead of Answers
After seeing people asking legitimate questions at Town Halls about the Health Care Plan we got to see the biggest propaganda campaign since Germany and the Holocaust.
Our President went before the cameras to announce that these citizens who asked legitimate questions were thugs, mobs, and persons paid to disrupt the town hall meetings.
This is disturbing. We’ve seen these people, who started simply by asking questions and demanding answers they didn’t get. But because they booed the non-answers, they were thugs and unruly mobs.
Now we are seeing President Obama’s prize community organizing agencies showing up and using violence to stop the questions.
Let’s be clear. It matters not whether the person asking the question is there by pre-arranged plan. What matters is whether the question is legit. They are entitled to representation too. This country is not based on electing officials that are supposed to represent only those who agree with them.
The first one we seen, a Philadelphia Town Hall with Democratic, then Republican, then Democratic Senator Arlen Spector and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebellius. A Town Hall that was billed as a meeting where they would be answering questions about the Health Care Bill. Instead, they kept dodging questions by claiming they hadn’t read the bill.
The best question was asked there, and still has not been answered. The question quite simply was: Medicare is broken, Medicaid is broken, Social Security is broken, how are we supposed to trust a government that can’t even run a $1 billion dollar cash-for-clunkers program to run a health care program that will equal 1/7th of our economy?
That question is legit. Politicians have been promising to fix Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare for ages. Instead they’ve continually raped Social Security, borrowing billions of dollars with IOU’s and not paying it back. They all aree that all three programs do not work. Now we should trust these same politicians who have not been able to fix programs that have been broken for 40 years, and can’t create a small program to encourage people to turn in their gas guzzlers without screwing it up, to now create a government run health care insurance program?
No one answered the question. No one is answering any questions. They’re telling us the ol’ “Trust us” line. “We’ll take care of you”. In place of answers they’re labelling anyone that dares to ask questions as troublemakers, thugs, mobs. In order to deal with that, rather than answer the questions, they are now callling out the real thugs.
Enter the SEIU, Service Employees International Union who put out a $61 million investment in getting President Barack Obama elected. (http://michellemalkin.com/2009/08/06/seiu-and-the-persuasion-of-power/ ) to come to the rescue. Showing up at Town Halls like the one in St. Louis where an SEIU member was arrested after attacking an activist.
This is typical of President Obama’s attitude, clearly expressed in this video. He doesn’t want the opposition to have a voice.
If you’re not with him, you’re part of the side that created the problem so you should shut up and let him do it his way. Wasn’t that Hitler’s attitude? If you weren’t full blooded German, blonde, blue-eyed, you were part of the problem and he was going to eliminate or control you.
Yet, to President Obama, “You’re racists, you’re Nazis, and you’re political terrorists. Why should he listen?” (Hotair.com
No matter what side of the aisle you sit on, if any, this should concern you. Remember the first ammendment? Free Speech? The right of every citizen to have a say? Even Democrats, and even people who voted for President Obama, are the enemy if you don’t support him.
This is what happens when you give one party unhindered control.
