After Hours Friends

As word spreads of House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi referring to those protesting the Health Care Reform Bill as being un-American, it brings back memories of another incident recently in which she called our ICE agents un-American.

It was back in March, when Pelosi spoke to a group of legal and illegal immigrants. She indicated that she believes that kicking-down-doors raids to arrest illegals was “un-American”.

I remember thinking back then, wow, these people come into our country illegally, steal others identities so they can work, send the money to their country rather than spend it into our economy, and she’s against ICE enforcing the law by arresting them. Yet, she’s not against police kicking down an Americans door in the middle of the night and terrorizing a family because someone there stole another’s identity.

Now she’s trying to put protestors in the same light as ICE. Protesting wrong? No, and it’s not un-American. Frankly, Miss Pelosi, you should resign and go back into that sink hole with the Harbor Field Mouse you just gave $38 million dollars to in the stimulus bill.

Protesting is very American. Our Constitution guarantees us the right to speak up about what we perceive as wrongs by our government. Our Constitution gives us the right to question our government. People showing up at these town halls are merely trying to ask questions just to get non-answers from a group of politicians WE ELECTED.

No, Miss Pelosi, protesting is not Un-American. What is Un-American is lying to the voters, something you’ve become quite adept at. What is Un-American is trying to use your power to stifle the voices of those who disagree with you. What is Un-American is depriving American citizens of their voice in government.

You, Miss Pelosi, are Un-American. The people are asking for answers from our elected officials, like YOU, and instead of answering them you want to silence them.
